Khutšo Ngoasheng

Khutšo Ngoasheng has an MPhil in Space Studies from the University of Cape Town and an MBA from the University of the Witwatersrand. Currently Manager at the South African Radio Astronomy Observatory in Science Processing, Khutšo manages the team responsible for ingesting and synthesising telescope data to produce images and deliver science-quality data for the science community. Ngoasheng applies innovative practices to lead the team in the development of high performance computing infrastructure, highly optimised software components, as well as novel approaches to science data processing, including storage and data accessibility innovation, machine learning and quality assurance. Prior to SARAO, Ngoasheng worked in roles that included software developer, security analyst and IT Infrastructure manager for organisations such as Business Connexion, Standard Bank, and Multichoice.
